April 2026 - External rendering underway
March 2026 - Roof work nears completion
December 2025 - Roof construction over control areas gets underway
December 2025 - Final concrete curing starts
December 2nd 2025 - Final roof pour completed
November 25th 2025 - Final roof concrete pour commences
October 2025 - Rebar is installed ready for the final roof pour
September 2025 - Construction of the control and equipment rooms commences
August 2025 - The rebar for the primary barrier is installed
July 2025: After setting for a month, infilling between the inner and outer wall commences.
May 2025: Inner and outer walls are completed to finished height.
Dec 2024: Outer wall pour.
July 2024: Outer wall formwork commences. Due to the thickness of the walls, they will be constructed in three stages (outer, inner, then infill).
June 2024: Rebar to support the walls is installed.
May 2024: The floor is complete. The rectangular cutout is for the base-frame that will hold the linear accelerator in place.
April 2024: Before the bunker floor can be poured, rebar has to be placed.
March 2024: Ductwork is placed from the treatment room to the control area.
February 2024: Rebar is placed to form the control area floor.
January 2024: Formwork is constructed at the front of the bunkers. This will provide a platform for the control and equipment rooms with storage underneath.
November 2023: The foundations are complete, after removal of the formwork
June 2023: The foundation concrete pour nears completion
May 2023: Foundation formwork is constructed
April 2023: Foundation rebar nears completion
February 2023: Foundation rebar installation commences
January 2023: Excavations for the bunker foundations are completed
November 2022: We hold the official groundbreaking ceremony
January 2021: The site is cleared and levelled
